REACHING OUT TO OLDER ADULTS.....to enable them to live INDEPENDENTLY as long as they so choose....


Who is Webster County Senior Services?

The Webster County Senior Services is the "umbrella" name for:

  • The Blue Hill, Bladen, and Guide Rock Senior Centers;
  • County wide home-delivered meals program;
  • Midland AAA Services;
  • Webster County Public Transportation Service; and,
  • The Red Cloud Elm Street Center, the designated focal point for delivery services, "The one stop shopping center," for Senior Services and the area Resource Center

How Do I Qualify for Services?

All services are provided to everyone 60 years of age or older, their spouses regardless of age and disabled children in their care.  Most of the services are provided under the Older Americans Act.  There is NO means test...we serve all income levels of older adults...

What are the Costs?

Many of the services are provided free of charge.  Donations, fees, fares and sliding fee scale based on ability to pay provide services.  The local county non-profit board sets the fees and suggested donation rates annually.


SERVICES

Elm Street (Red Cloud) Center:  Noon meals Monday-Friday

Guide Rock Center: Noon meals Monday-Friday

Bladen Nutritional Center: Noon meals Tuesday & Thursday

Blue Hill Center: 2nd & 4th Wednesday  Blue Hill Westgate: 3rd Wednesday

Home-Delivered Meals: 5 or 7 days delivery...County Wide!!

Transportation Schedule:  County Wide, Hastings, Superior, Franklin, Grand Island, Kearney.  Medical as far away as Omaha.  Also Educational  & Fun Trips


SUPPORTIVE SERVICES

Homemaker, Shopping Assistance, Lifeline, Information & Assistance, Respite Care, Personal Care, Telephone Reassurance, Nutritional Education, Nutritional Counseling, Health Programs, Forms Assistance, Letter Reading & Writing, Check Writing, Lawn Service, VITA Volunteer, Assist with Income Tax Forms.

ELM STREET CENTER Health & Wellness Center- Respite, Social Activities, Exercise Classes, Weight Group, Health Screenings, Cards, Bingo, Quilting & Crafts

GUIDE ROCK CENTER- Exercise Classes, Health Screenings, Movies, Cards

BLUE HILL & BLADEN- Health Screenings, Cards, Programs
